Inherited retinal disease Study

The Inherited Retinal Disease (IRD) study represents the psychosocial component of a broader project looking to progress cell therapies to treat blindness. This Australia-wide project aimed to partner with consumers to understand their research priorities and perspectives around novel therapeutics for IRD. The project hosted and evaluated two patient and family engagement days to provide research updates and opportunity for connection.
Participants included individuals living with an IRD (16 years or older), caregivers and family members, and health or supportive care professionals working with individuals with an IRD.
