Interested in Participating in AYA Cancer Research?

Research aims to save lives and improve the physical and emotional well-being of cancer patients and survivors. However, it is incredibly challenging to recruit people to research, especially if they are going through treatment, trying to get their lives back on track, or from a vulnerable group (e.g., non-English speaker, LGBTQ).
Our research wants to find out how we can include all the voices of cancer survivors, including the most vulnerable, and also learn what are the most important questions research can answer for cancer survivors, in terms of emotional, psychological, or social impacts.
What Will Participation Involve?
Participation in this study will involve attending an online workshop. These workshops will be held with up to 10 participants. It will be a safe space to share your experiences and relate with others who have lived experiences with the cancer journey.
Who Can Participate?
  • People diagnosed with cancer between 15-25 years and are currently over 18 years old. If you speak Farsi, Arabic, or Mandarin, we will conduct a separate focus group for you in your native language.
  • Physicians or nurses who provide care for AYA cancer patients.
  • Please note that the study is only open to those living in Australia.
